Lorie Anne Richter, 60, of Destin, Florida passed away on Monday, October 31, 2022.

On Sunday, October 30, 2022, Linda Hamilton Konig of Destin, Florida, was peacefully called home while surrounded by her loving family. She was seventy-five years old.

Linda was born in Birmingham, Alabama on Nov. 7, 1946. As a student, she attended John Carrol High School and majored in English at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. For much of her adult life, Linda worked at Ascension St. Vincent's Birmingham. In her later years, she relocated to Destin, Florida to be closer to her family.
 
Linda’s hobbies included writing non-fiction stories, traveling abroad, baking her popular fudge and spending time at the beach.
 
Linda is survived by her daughter, Natalie Gerrick and son-in-law Scott Gerrick of Slidell, Louisiana; daughter, Gretchen Hagan and son-in-law Joe Hagan of Nolensville, Tennessee; as well as her four sisters, Susan Limbaugh, Sally Lynn, Frances Agan and Helen Penfield – all of Birmingham, Alabama. Linda also had five grandchildren; Scott Gerrick, Jr., Lauren Gerrick, Carter Gerrick, Ryder Hagan and Raine Hagan. She was preceded in death by her late brother, Bob Hamilton and parents, Harry and Lucille Hamilton.
 
Details regarding a public Catholic Mass followed by a Celebration of Life ceremony will be shared in the coming weeks so that family and friends may gather to remember the indelible impact Linda had on those that were privileged to have been touched by her light.
 
To honor their mother’s final wishes, Natalie and Gretchen will be burying Linda’s ashes in Ireland – a place she always felt at peace.
