Alvin Harold Harris

Alvin H. Harris, Sr., 89, and Patricia F. Harris, 87, of Jay, FL, passed away within three days of one another. After a shared lifetime of love, Alvin passed on Feb. 5, 2026 and Patricia joined him on Feb. 8, 2026. They were so deeply devoted to each other, that even death couldn’t separate them. 

Alvin was born in Pensacola, FL on Sept. 3, 1936 to Alfred T. and Lewisteene A. Harris. Patricia was born in Macon, GA on Jan. 7, 1939 to  John B. and Olive B. Fricke. Alvin and Patricia were married on Feb. 16, 1957 at the Basilica of St. Michael the Archangel in Pensacola, FL. For the next 69 years, they built a beautiful life together. Nothing brought them more joy than spending time with the family they created. 

Alvin is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Alfred T. Harris, Jr. and two sisters, Joan L. Milsted and Jacqueline E. Cagle. Patricia is preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Barbara E. Daniel and Carole B. Bogan. Additionally, Alvin and Patricia were preceded in death by their loving daughter, Marissa G. Falzone. 

They are survived by their children, Brenda (Eddie) Jackson, Alvin (Jeanne) Harris, Joni Martin (John Flaningam), Michele (Darrell) Carrier and Ryan Harris (Ashley Sarver). Patricia’s survivors include a sister, Mary B. Sweeney and a brother John B. Fricke, Jr. Both, Alvin and Patricia, are survived by their 21 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews. Last, but not least, they are survived by their loyal and loving dog, Victor. 

A graveside service will be held at 12:00pm on Friday, Feb. 27, 2026 at Bayview Cemetery in Pensacola, FL.
