Barbara Janet Cornell

Barbara (nee Hovencamp) Cornell of Gulf Breeze, FL passed away on April 1, 2026 in Pensacola, FL. She was born November 22, 1937 in Portsmouth, Ohio to the late Robert and Wilma Hovencamp. Also preceding her in death are her beloved husband of 50 years, Gary; sons Michael and James Riesenberg; sister Mary Hessler and son-in-law Walt Groh.

Barbara leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Ken (Judy) Riesenberg, Pamela (Dave) Ragonese, Donna (Kelly McGillvary) Groh, Phil (Kathleen) Riesenberg. Also surviving are her sister Vicki Schnure, brother Rob Hovencamp, multiple step-children, grand and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

There will be a celebration of Barbara’s life, 1:00 pm, Friday, September 25, 2026 at The Naval Air Station National Cemetery Pensacola Florida, where she will be laid to rest next to her beloved Gary.
