Charles W MacDonald, Lt Col, USAF (Ret)
Chuck was born in Omah, NE in 1947 to John and Anne Belle. He married Barbara R. Foecke in 1970 at Offutt AFB. He is predeceased by his wife, Barabara (2024) and leaves behind a son, Matt. Chuck graduated from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln (UNL) in 1969 before joining the Air Force. Following a period on active duty, he returned to UNL and was awarded his Juris Doctor degree in 1978 and returned to the USAF in the Reserves and civil service with the JAG.
Chuck had a 50-year association with the Air Force; six years active duty, 22 years in the Reserves, and 31 years in civil service. Chuck lived in Biloxi MS, Italy, Shreveport LA, Lincoln NE, Denver CO, Alamogordo NM, and spent 19 years in Germany before his retirement in 2016. He and Barbara enjoyed retirement in Pensacola, FL. Chuck had been active in the community prior to his death on March 19th 2026. In lieu of flowers, he requests donations to the Pensacola chapter of the Military Officers Association of America scholarship fund or the Pensacola Lions’ Club foundation.
