Craig Douglas Becker, 67, of Fort Walton Beach, FL passed away on September 11, 2025 at Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, FL. Born on July 9, 1958 in Reading, PA, Craig was the son of Barbara Becker and the late Ellsworth Becker. He brought laughter and warmth everywhere he went – forging a legacy as a loving husband, cherished brother and loyal friend. His main passion in life was anything related to water. He was a scuba instructor and met his wife of 32 years, Ann Hoyniak-Becker, while teaching diving class. While he loyally supported his wife’s successful career with the US Air Force, he found ways to fulfill his many interests. He worked at Disney World’s Living Seas as a diver. He was an avid fisherman, swimmer, and boater. His desire to take care of the aquatic environment inspired him to install several artificial reefs to help clean the coastal waterways. Craig loved art and his creativity spanned many mediums from paintings to carvings to forging knives to gunsmithing. Additionally, Craig found joy in cooking, not just for family, but for friends and the community. He loved working with youth and volunteered as a soccer coach. He was a Red Cross Instructor and a member of the Knights of Columbus. Craig had a life-long spiritual connection to the poem “Footprints in the Sand” by Mary Stevenson. He was predeceased by his father, Ellsworth of Niceville, FL. Survivors include his wife, Ann; mother, Barbara of Topton, PA; step-mother, Pam of Louisville, TN; sister, Debbra Dorward (Norm) of Reading, PA; and brothers Lyle (Julia) of Panama City, FL; and Scott (Cynthia) of Reading, PA. The family of Craig thanks everyone for their love and support. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to your favorite charity in honor of Craig.
