Edward Hahn, 83, passed away on 12/11/2025.
Ed was a native of Louisville, Kentucky. He moved to Pensacola in 1990 after retiring from the Navy after 30 years of Honorable Service to his country. He achieved the rank of Senior Chief Petty Officer and was the recipient of numerous awards including the Navy Commendation medal, the Navy Achievement medal, and the Combat Action Ribbon with Gold Star, a total of 15 medals with 19 Silver and Bronze Stars attached. He served a total of 18 months in South Vietnam and was also on the scene during the Cuban missile crisis in 1962 for 4 months. Ed had a total of 17 years of sea service, having served on 10 different war ships and was a veteran of 15 overseas deployments with the Sixth and Seventh Fleets.
Ed completed his college requirements and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Regents College in 1988. Upon retirement in 1990, Ed was employed with the Private Industry Council. Later, he joined with Pensacola Junior College and retired from there in 2004.
Ed was an avid sportsman in his earlier yeas and played most of the major sports. But Billiards was his favorite past time. He played the game for over 60 years.
Ed is survived by his 2 daughters, Lori of Pensacola, Lisa of Boise, ID, and two grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm on 12/17/2025 at Family Funeral & Cremation. A full military burial with Honors will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery at 1:00 pm.
