George Dorman Obituary

George Bryan Dorman passed away on May 11, 2026, at his home in Florida, returning to his heavenly home at the age of 68. He is survived by his wife, Linda Dorman.

George was the father of seven children: Tiffany Wilp, Michael Dorman (preceded in death, January 22, 2022), Kiley Littles, Ryan Dorman, Elise Wilson, Garrett Dorman, and Austin Dorman. He was also the proud grandfather to twenty grandchildren and great-grandfather to one great-grandchild.

Those who knew George in his prime remember a man with a generous heart. He had a gift for service whenever he was able, he was the first to show up and help. He carried a quiet, unexpected sense of humor, the kind that might catch you off guard in the moment but has you smiling all over again years later when the memory resurfaces.

Perhaps what he will be remembered for most is his ability to make simple things feel magical. When the kids were young and resources were few, George had a way of making life fun. A Halloween costume on a shoestring budget. A living room transformed into a fort. Camping trips and backyard adventures that felt bigger than any grand vacation. He had a creativity and a spirit that made home feel like the best place in the world to us kids.

He carried his share of burdens in his later years, as so many do, and we hold space for the complexity of that. But we also hold tightly to the man who made us laugh, who showed up, and who loved his family.

You will be missed beyond measure. We love you, Dad.

A private celebration of life will be held on July 6th. Please reach out to the family directly for more details.
