Mark Anthony Taylor, Sr.
1959 – 2025
Mark Anthony Taylor, Sr., age 66, passed away on October 17, 2025. Born on February 19, 1959, in Pensacola, Florida, where he was raised, he later moved to Milton, Florida, to start a family and spend his later years.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Karen Ann Taylor (Manly); his two children, Mark Anthony Taylor, Jr. and Amanda Christine (Bobby) Pate; his granddaughters, Emma Marie and Miranda James Pate; and his grandsons, Silas Machiavelli and Lincoln Thoreau Taylor. He is also survived by an aunt and uncle, as well as numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Christopher Edgar Taylor, Jr.; his dear mother, Mary Dolores Taylor (Lukers); his brother, Ronald Edward Taylor; and his sister, Renee Taylor Holmes.
A lifelong musician, tradesperson, and fisherman, Mark was also an avid fan of country and rock music. He remained a devoted supporter of the Florida Gators throughout his life.
No services will be held. The family asks that his memory be honored in reflection or through time spent doing what he loved most—making or listening to music, casting a line, or cheering on the Gators.
May his life and memory serve as a reminder to care for one’s mind and body, even in the moments when it is hardest to do so.
