Michelle “Shelly” Lee Bessette, 57, of Pensacola, Florida, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2026.

Born on May 7, 1969, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Shelly lived a life filled with kindness, compassion, and a generous heart. She had a special gift for making people feel welcomed and loved, and she found joy in life’s simple treasures. Whether she was hunting for unique finds while shopping, caring for animals, or spending time with those she loved most, Shelly embraced every moment with warmth and enthusiasm.

Shelly’s greatest joy in life was her family, especially her beloved granddaughters, Isabella and Paisley. She cherished every opportunity to spend time with them, creating memories filled with love and joy. Her love for them was boundless, and they were truly the light of her life.

She is survived by her daughter, Jordan (Brandon); her father, Gary; her mother, Susan, and stepfather, Marvin; her granddaughters, Isabella and Paisley; her sisters, Angela (Cody) and Melanie (Kelby); her niece, Briana (Christian); and her nephews, Zachary, Grant, and Alex.

Shelly will be remembered for her caring spirit, her unwavering love for animals, and the way she always put the people she loved first. Her gentle heart, infectious smile, and ability to find beauty and joy in everyday life will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pensacola Humane Society in her honor.

Though she is no longer with us, Shelly’s love, kindness, and cherished memories will continue to live on through her family and all those whose lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
