Milagros “Millie” Malave, 64, passed away on May 20, 2026, leaving behind a family whose lives she shaped with unwavering love and devotion.
Born on June 29, 1961, Milagros spent the last 15 years of her life waging a courageous battle against cancer. She faced each diagnosis with a strength that left those around her in awe. She did not just endure. She lived, loved, and showed up for her family through it all. Her resilience was matched only by the depth of her love, and those who knew her will tell you she had more of both than anyone they have ever met.
She was a devoted Catholic, a committed mother, and a grandmother who found her purest happiness in her grandchildren. They were the light of her life, and she theirs.
She is survived by her three sons, Carlos Navedo, Orlando Manuel Navedo, and Angel Navedo; her daughter-in-law, Kayley Navedo; her stepchildren, Orlando Navedo and Jessica Cruz; her beloved grandchildren, Manuel, Ezekiel, Ezra, Maleni, and Jaiceon Navedo; and a cherished circle of nieces and nephews who were lucky to call her family.
She was preceded in death by her father, Carlos Anibal Malave, and her long-time partner, Roger Cruz.
Milagros Malave loved like no other. And she fought like no other. May she finally rest in the peace she so deserved.
