Patrick Owen Reynolds, age 79, of Navarre, Florida, passed on June 10, 2026.

Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on November 10, 1946, Patrick lived a remarkable life defined by service, courage, creativity, spirituality, adventure, and devotion to family. To those who knew him best, he was remembered as a strong, energetic, can-do man whose presence filled a room and whose determination inspired others.

Patrick graduated from Valley Forge Military Academy in Philadelphia and went on to serve his country honorably in the United States Navy.

Patrick was a decorated combat veteran of the Vietnam War and served as a military advisor to the South Vietnamese military. His distinguished military career included service in Naval Special Warfare and special operations. During his years of service, he earned numerous military honors and commendations,the Silver Star, multiple Bronze Star Medals, the Purple Heart, the Combat Action Ribbon, the Distinguished Rifle, Pistol recognition, and additional awards and commendations. He served with honor and was honorably discharged from the United States Navy.

Patrick’s service and adventure carried him across the globe. As a Navy diver serving aboard the USS Glennon, he crossed into the Arctic Circle and received recognition associated with that achievement. He was also a Plank Owner of the USS Richard L. Page and received traditional naval recognitions, including the Domain of the Golden Dragon and Imperium Neptuni Regis. He remained connected to his naval community throughout life and was a member of the UDT–SEAL Museum in Fort Pierce, Florida.

Outside of military life, Patrick was deeply creative and passionate about the arts. He was an accomplished artist, illustrator, and teacher whose commissioned works and published pieces reached many audiences. His artwork appeared on book covers and was represented in works held by the Library of Congress. He loved the world of art and inspired others through both teaching and creating. He was also an official member of the Portrait Artists of America. Patrick loved travel and sailing and experienced much of the world during his lifetime. He especially enjoyed fly fishing and treasured time spent fishing on the Animas River in Durango, Colorado.

Patrick was also a deeply spiritual man who explored and shared spiritual teachings throughout his life. He was known for his work with spiritual study, including teachings related to the Archangel Metatron and the Egyptian chakra system.

Above all else, Patrick loved his family.

He is survived by his loving wife, Luann Reynolds; daughters Nicole Brown Reynolds and Ryan Reynolds; son Kirk Reynolds; brother Michael Reynolds and sister-in-law Mary Ellen. He is also survived by grandchildren Danielle Reynolds and great-grandchildren Willow Coughlin and Miles Coughlin; Jacqueline Brown; Jennifer Leeds and great-granddaughter Makaya Matthews; Jonathan Leeds; and Brent Reynolds with great-grandchildren Ellie and Sophie.

Patrick was preceded in death by his parents, Jack Reynolds and Billy Shetrom Reynolds; his brother, Peter Reynolds; sister, Peggy Phillips; and grandson, Thomas Reynolds.

Patrick is also survived by stepchildren Amy and Cari Becker, with grandchildren Sara Becker, Alexandra Becker, and Jacob Becker and great-granddaughter Adalie Becker; stepchildren Kristy and Ron Green; with grandchildren Gavin Green; and Jackson Green; and stepson Michael R. Preston.

His family finds comfort knowing that Patrick’s adventurous spirit, creativity, courage, and love continue to live on through those whose lives he touched.
