Peter Randall Porto (Randy) of Pensacola, Florida, passed away on April 30th 2026. He
was 70 years old.
Randy was born on September 9th, 1955, at the historic Sacred Heart Hospital in
Pensacola, FL to Peter Anthony. and Mary Evelynn Porto. He spent all his life in
Pensacola. He graduated from Washington High School in 1973.
After high school, Randy went to work for his dad as a bookkeeper at Gulf Coast
Mechanical Contractors. He went on to get his BS degree in Accounting at the
University of West Florida, graduating in 1982. After graduating from UWF, he went to
work for the Escambia County School Board in charge of Accounts Payable and retired
in 2018 after 35 years of service.
He will be remembered for his love of his brother Chris, who he lived with and cared for,
for the last 15 years and for the way he stayed devoted to his family. Randy had a love
for the outdoors, basketball, spending time at the shooting range, reading and learning
about history and found joy in spending time with his friends.
He is preceded in death by his father (Peter), mother (Mary) and his brother, Louis
(Louie) Porto. He is survived by his sons, Peter Anthony Porto and his wife Rebekah
(Pensacola, FL) and Nathan Randall Porto and his wife Amberly (Tampa, FL), his
grandchildren (Evan Gray, Peter Anthony Jr (PJ) & Penny Lane Porto) and Grand dogs
Otis, Raven, and Wally Porto, his brothers Larry Porto, Johnny Porto and Chris Porto
(Pensacola), Kerry Porto and his wife Paula (Johns Creek, GA), nieces and nephews,
Lonnie Porto, Kristi Ross, Nicki Porto, Scooter Porto, Ginny Porto, Katelynn Porto,
Mitchell Porto, Annamarie Tucker, Isabella Porto, Amelia Porto and many extended
family members.
A celebration of life is tentatively planned for Sunday May 17th at 1pm at Bayview Park
on Bayou Texar in Pensacola Florida. Please dress casual and comfortable for this
occasion as you would any celebration. Feel free to Bring and tell any stories of your
experiences or ventures you had the pleasure of being a part of.
Randy will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
