Robert Harris Obituary

Robert “Bobby” Harris died peacefully on November 25, 2025, with his family by his side.

Bob was born on July 2, 1931, in Memphis, Tennessee, where he was also raised. He graduated from Tech High in 1951, which is where he met his wife of 74 years, Lexie May Harris. Lexie and Bob shared two daughters, Deborah Lee Fagerholm and Vicky Lynn Henty.

He joined the United States Air Force in 1951 and served for 20 years, working in the transportation office. His service took him to England and Japan, and he lived in multiple states throughout his career. After retiring from the Air Force, he worked for Wyndott Chemical Company for 10 years. He retired at age 50 and moved to Pensacola Beach where he was the proud owner of a beautiful condo at Seahorse Condominiums. He served as president of the homeowner’s association for 44 years. During that time, he oversaw multiple rebuilding efforts after hurricanes. Bob was an active member in his 50s as a Mason and a Shriner. As a Shriner he was a member of the Oriental Band.

Bob enjoyed sitting on his deck overlooking the Gulf, as well as visiting with fellow owners and visitors. He loved animals and was always a friend to many pets. He had a passion for saving stray or wounded animals in need. A true testament to his character and one of the many reasons he will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Camille Catherine and John Baron Harris; daughter, Deborah Lee Fagerholm; and his sister, Marietta Harter.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 74 years, Lexie May Harris; daughter, Vicky Lynn Henty; sister, Judy Delaney; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at Barrancas National Cemetery – Shelter A on Friday, December 5, 2025, at 11:00 AM. Procession to the cemetery will meet and line up at Olive Baptist Warrington Campus, 103 W Winthrop Avenue Pensacola, FL 32507 at approximately 10:30 AM.
