Steven George Darbant, 71, of Pensacola, Florida passed away on May 15,2026.

He was born on December 31, 1954 in Manitowoc, WI to George and Jeanette Darbant.

Steve graduated from Sheboygan South High School in 1973 and shortly thereafter enlisted in the United States Navy. He proudly served and retired from the Navy with the rank of Chief Petty Officer.

On September 3, 1983 he married the love of his life Lynn Wickman in Green Bay, WI. Lynn preceded him in death on June 23, 2002.

After his retirement from the US Navy, he owned and operated an appliance repair business in Pensacola, Florida.

He enjoyed watching Nascar races, fishing, sitting around a campfire with friends and enjoying the warm weather in Florida.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Jeanette Darbant, and his wife Lynn Darbant.

Steve is survived by his siblings, Kathleen (Jim) Bloxom, Spokane, WA, Lynn (Jeff) Knaak, Sheboygan, WI, Michael (Yvonne) Darbant Sheyboygan, WI, Barbara (Pat) Kunick, Glendive, MT and David (Tiffany) Darbant, Port Washington, WI, step daughter Holly Wickman, Random Lake, WI. He is further survived by nieces and nephews.

The family would also like to give a special thank you to his dear friends Brenda Truken and Doug Franklin for always watching over him and for all of their help over the years. They were definitely like family to Steve and we are forever grateful for their friendship.

A celebration of life will take place on June 24, 2026 in Pensacola, FL at 2:30 PM at Barrancas National Cemetery with military honors.
