Pensacola native, Timothy Scott "Mojo" Stanley passed peacefully on May 22, 2026 at VITAS hospice unit, Sacred Heart.
Scott was born to Timothy Lawrence Morgan and Mary Marcia (Johansen) Morgan. Scott was later adopted by David Stanley after he and Marcia married.
Scott played football for Little Flower and Catholic High. After high school, he worked for Creighton Rd Nursery, where he realized his first love, landscaping. Scott went on to join the Air Force, where he happily spent 24 years. He was a mechanic on the C-5 for many years. He later proudly served on Air Force 1. While in the service, Scott had opportunities to work for Dover Speedway and spent many hours making shadow boxes for fellow service members including his own. Scott retired from the Air Force and moved to the Houston, TX area, where he continued to work on planes in the private sector. Scott was an incredible photographer, an avid cast net thrower, a runner and a golfer.
Scott and his wife, Lisa Ayres, returned to Pensacola a year ago where he was later diagnosed with Alzheimer's. Scott is proceeded in death by his grand parents, his parents, Marcia and David, his sister, Mary Beth Stanley, as well his much loved Slim and Emma.
Scott is survived by his wife, Lisa, their fur babies, Ginger and Cookie, his parents, Timothy and Barbara Morgan, his sisters, Andree (Stanley) Bey, Angela (Morgan) Stroud, Erin (Morgan) Clifford (Robert), his brother, Nathan Morgan (Kally), his children, Madison (Stanley) Staudmyer (Timothy), and Ashlynn Stanley, the grandchildren he and Lisa shared, Aidan, Ayva, Naomi, Skylar, Camden, Theo and Elicia, as well as many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life is being planned for August 1, 2026 at First United Methodist Church. Please contact Lisa for further details.
