Dr. Travis James (Jim) Bledsoe, 63, died at home in Pensacola, FL on February 2, 2026. Jim was born September 1, 1962, in Pensacola, FL. He graduated from Tate High School in 1980. Jim was an army veteran who proudly served his country. He received his doctor’s degree in holistic medicine and for many years, practiced holistic medicine in Pensacola and owned his own business.
Jim was a faithful member at Hillcrest Baptist Church where he served as Chairman of the Mission Leadership Team. As a faithful greeter, Jim took his role seriously. He was the first face many saw when they entered Hillcrest on Sunday morning, always lending a helping hand to the elderly and giving high-fives to all the children that passed through his door.
Jim was an avid world traveler and loved sharing with others about his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. At Hillcrest, Jim had led and served on teams for many mission trips in Asia, Europe, Africa, and South America. He also served as the U.S. Representative for Word of Life Ecuador Ministries.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents, Troy Joseph Bledsoe, Sr. and Patsy Jean Bledsoe. He is survived by his brother Trenton Jeffrey (Jeff) Bledsoe, Sister in Law (Deanna) and nephew (Cody),from Orlando, a niece, Jackie McKenney of Milton and 2 great nieces Jaq and Angel from Pensacola, ,his aunt Barbara Bledsoe of Milton, other extended family in Texas, many other family members and dear friends.
A Celebration of Life for Jim will be Friday, February 27, 2026 at 1:00-3:00PM in Fellowship Hall at Hillcrest Baptist Church 800 E Nine Mile Rd, Pensacola, FL 32514
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Word of Life Ministries, Ecuador or missions at Hillcrest Baptist Church.
