Mrs. Willie Belle Brown, also known as “Belle,” was born on November 21, 1945, in Villa Rica, Georgia. She was the third oldest of 11 children born to the late Rev. Rufus George Hart and the late Mrs. Maymie Elizabeth Hart. She returned to Our Heavenly Father Monday, February 16, 2026. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Mr. Lucas Brown; sister; Ruthia Ann Hart-Holland; and brothers; George “Bubba” Willard Hart, Harold Rufus Hart, PFC Joel Roger Hart, Marvin Lewis Hart, Terry Eugene Hart, and Tony Dean Hart.

Belle felt there was more to experience in her life. After graduating from Carver High School in 1964, she left home to go to New York, where she worked as an aide at Sisters of Charity Hospital in Buffalo, New York; Buffalo’s first hospital. She also worked at Western Electric (Ma Belle), where she met her longtime best friend, Sarah. Fun fact, they coiled telephone cords and attached the plastic tip to the end of the cord before they were inserted into the on the wall dial phone. Then, she worked for a book bindery manufacturer, Arcata Graphics. She joined in holy matrimony to the former Mr. Lucas Brown on April 29, 1967. To this union, three daughters were born.

Belle loved God very much and in her quest of finding truth while being a wife and a mother to three daughters, she found Shepherd’s Chapel. The Murray family taught the Bible in a way that was understandable using Greek and Hebrew translation.

Belle leaves many precious memories with husband, Mr. Lucas Brown; three daughters, Ms. Charlotte A. Brown, Mrs. Trina (Ronald) Brown-Koon and Ms. Cynthia D. Brown; three sisters, Ms. Carol Hart, Mrs. Ellen Maxcine (Bobby) Lowery, and Ms. Glenda Faye Hart; two granddaughters, Ms. Chanelle S. Brown and Ms. Courtney C. Foster; one great granddaughter, Winter M. Eaddy; dearest family friend, Sarah L. (Terry) Tarry, Jacqueline McCollum, Hugh Tarry, Jamahl Tarry and a host of uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

There will be an informal gravesite Celebration of Life.  A simple gathering of family and friends sharing precious memories of our beloved mother. It will be held on June 3, 2026 at 11:00 AM
