![]() G. Robert Chancellor, 80, of Pensacola, Florida died Saturday, July 28, 2018. Bob was born in Watseka, IL, grew up in Kentland, IN and died at home in Pensacola, FL. He was educated at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL where he received a Bachelor of Music, Master of Music and PHD. He taught at the University of West Florida for eight years, beginning in 1966, a year before the university opened to develop a curricula for a music major program, and also to acquire all instruments and all materials including a reference library. He was conductor for all choral groups, taught all music history and literature courses and all voice students. Bob returned to Northwestern in 1974 to stand for examination on his dissertation and was awarded a PHD, then began at Southwest Missouri State University as director of the Choral Music Program. Later Bob also was director of choral activities at Delta State University and Tennessee Tech. Bob is survived by his wife, Sandra; daughter, Kirsten (Chris) McCumber; granddaughters, Carlie (NYC) and Polly McCumber, Dallas, TX; sisters, Mary Luchtman, Sue Breztzinger, IN, and Kirsten’s mother, Drude Crane, NJ. Final services for Bob will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, August 6, 2018 at Christ Church Pensacola, 18 West Wright Street. Porter, 67, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 28th, 2018. Jay was born in Canton, Ohio on June 12, 1951. He was preceded in death by his father, Eddie Eugene Porter and his mother, Harriet F. Porter. Jay was wonderful husband of 41 years to Donna Horton Porter and he attended Olive Baptist Church in Pensacola, Florida. Jay loved cooking for his family and he enjoyed the Steelers and the Braves. Jay is survived by his wife, Donna Horton Porter; sons, Joseph Brouhard of Theodore, Alabama and Micah J. Porter of Palm Harbour, Florida; daughter, Jennifer Hazuga of Madison, Alabama; 16 grandchildren ranging from the age of 3 months to 24 years and a great-grandchild, Braxton Stine of Manbank, Texas. ![]() Jesus Angel Rios Rodriguez, 82 of Gulf Breeze, Fl passed away on July 27, 2018. He was surrounded by his loving family. Papi was born in Las Marias, Puerto Rico on May 6, 1936. His wife Cristobalina Rios of 57 years of marriage, preceded him in death in 2014. He is survived by his daughter Evelyn Caraballo (Orlando) of Gulf Breeze, Fl, Maria de Jesus Rios (Angel) of San Sebastian PR, Miguel Angel Rios (Jennifer) of Milton, Fl, Jesus Angel Rios, Jr. (Nancy) of San Sebastian, PR, Awilda Enid Rios Gallelli (Giuseppi) of Philadelphia, Pa, Joel Rios (Lisa) of Gulf Breeze, Fl, and Yolanda Edwin (Kanwal) of Norristown, Pa. Papi had 20 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Papi was a hard worker, farmer, maintenance and family man. Papi was very firm in what he believed in as well as his equal love for his family. And most importantly his strong love for God. Papi, along with Mami, did missionary work in Mexico and Puerto Rico. Most people did not know that. Papi loved this country and was a patriot, even though he was not a member of the military. He wanted the American Flag placed over his casket. Mami made an American Flag for 9/11 and now Papi has it draped over his casket. While we grieve, we are also blessed and grateful of his beliefs and knowing that he is with his family in God and in his new life with Mami by his side. Papi couldn't wait to be with Mami and our Lord Jesus Christ for eternity. Papi we will miss you and l love you always. McCrea, 68, of Pensacola, Florida passed away Friday, July 27, 2018.

Burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens Cemetery, 1084 Massachusetts Avenue, Pensacola, Florida. Jean Gray passed away on July 26, 2018. She was born in Bassfield, Mississippi, April 29,1932, the daughter of Garland Smith and Tressie King Smith. She attended public schools in Ellisville, MS, and graduated from Jones County Junior College with a degree in Home Economics. Jean married Walter Benjamin ‘Ben’ Gray from Waynesboro, MS, in 1953. They would have celebrated 65 years of marriage this September.
Jean lived in Mississippi, Grand Isle, LA, New Orleans, LA, and moved to Pensacola, FL in 1973. She was a collector of friends here and in Western North Carolina where she and Ben had a summer home in Dillsboro, NC. Jean and Ben spent the 4th of July in those mountains with family and friends for 50 consecutive years, until her health declined in 2016. Jean dearly loved her family and was an amazing wife and mother. She was an excellent cook-with the absolute best seafood gumbo and was an expert seamstress. Jean also enjoyed camping, painting, crafting and spending time in her yard and gardens. Jean is survived by her beloved husband, Ben (Pensacola, FL) and daughters, Gayle Gray Atkinson and husband Jim (Pensacola, FL), and Carol Gray Whiting and husband Rod (Charleston, SC), as well as four grandchildren, Derek Atkinson and wife Christina (Pensacola, FL), Lesley Atkinson (Charlotte, NC), Gray Whiting (Panama City/Pensacola, FL), and Paige Whiting (Charleston, SC/Hattiesburg, MS). Her newest pride and joy was her 6-month old great- grandson, Watson Atkinson. Jean is also survived by her brother, Joseph Smith and wife, Pat (Clinton, MS), her sister, Gloria Boutwell (Prentiss, MS), four nieces and two nephews. The family wishes to thank the many physicians and caregivers who provided such compassionate care. Aaron W. Etheridge, 74, passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2018, surrounded by his family at West Florida Hospital in Pensacola, FL.
He was born June 1, 1944 in Unadilla, GA. He married Linda C. McCasland on February 2, 1975, in Mobile, AL. Aaron served in the Vietnam War, where he was awarded a silver star and bronze star. He also served in the Persian Gulf War. He served our country for 56 years. Shortly after following his retirement, after 29 years of service in the Navy, his love for the sea continued when he joined Military Sealift Command and worked as Boatswain for 27 years until July this year. He was preceded in death by his parents; Linnie Ernest and Effie Alma (Brannen) Etheridge and his brothers James Edd Etheridge and Linnie Talmadge Etheridge. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Linda Etheridge; daughter, Calinda (Etheridge) McCranie; son, David Etheridge; son-in-law, Brian McCranie and granddaughter, Olivia McCranie.
