Patsy Elizabeth Louise Jernigan Calder, 64, left this world suddenly on October 28, 2016. Pat was born on May 15, 1952 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Base, Florida to Carl and Merle Jernigan. Patsy’s family moved to Pace, FL when she was five, and she lived there most of her life.
Patsy is survived by her parents; husband, Jimmie; son, Shaun Mercer (Carrie) and stepdaughter, Morgan; sister, Cathy Seago (Andy); and Jim’s siblings: Arthur (Sue), Marc (Sheri), John Paul (Sibina), Joseph M. Lachli, Rose Moon (Clifford); and grandchildren, Raena, Sarah, Kali, Ashley, Benjamin, Melanie, Julia, Samantha, James, Christy, and Nichole Kee. Pat will always be remembered for having a big heart. She was always there to help out those in need. Patsy loved her arts and crafts including jewelry making, flower arranging, and her passion, crocheting. She could whip up a blanket in no time, and loved giving away baby blankets to new parents. Her pets, Ruger and Bitsey, were also a very special part of her life. She will be missed by all who knew her. A Celebration of Life honoring Patsy is being held Wednesday, Nov 2nd from 3-5 pm at Family-Funeral & Cremation who is handling arrangements. Maria Noelia Casimiro Cruthirds of Pensacola, FL passed away on 19 October 2016 at the age of 71. She lived an amazing life cut too short by pancreatic cancer. Noelia was preceded in death by her father Manuel, mother Rosa, brother Emanuel, and her adored Aunt Linda. She is survived by her beloved husband, Jimmy Cruthirds, daughter Sonja Jackson, twin sons Charles Cruthirds and CDR Curtis Cruthirds, USN, grandson's Joshua Cruthirds and Dylan Jackson, and great-grandson Xavier Cruthirds.
A native of Rosais, Sao Jorge, Azores, Portugal, Maria was only 22 when she met the man she would spend the rest of her life with. Married 2 years later, she would spend the next 47 years raising multiple generations of children and caring for those in need. As a caretaker of the elderly, she selflessly gave her time to anyone who needed her help. She touched so many lives and will be remembered for her compassion and loving heart. She passed away surrounded by her family and friends. At Noelia's request, there will be no services or ceremonies. Her desire was to remember her good times and not dwell on the end.
