![]() Carol Sue Cooper, age 76, of Dayton, Ohio passed away Thursday, November 30th 2017. She is preceded in death by her mother, Mary and father, Louis Hardwick, as well as sister Donna Hardwick. Carol is survived by three sons, Thomas Cooper and Daniel Cooper of Dayton, Ohio and Rob (Shannon) Cooper of Milton, Florida. She also leaves behind one grandchild, Alyssa Cooper. Carol will be remembered for her love of life, family and especially for the love of her grand-daughter. Alyssa was the light of her life. Carol also loved to read and just talk your ear off (which she could do for hours). Carol will be greatly missed but we all know that she is in Heaven with family and friends having the time of her life. Rex L. ![]() Bishop Ronnie Rich June 21, 1946 – November 26, 2017 Passed in Peace Sunday, November 26, 2017 at the age of 71. Bishop Ronnie Rich was a loving father to 9 children, Jeannine L. Rich, Kelvin L. Rich, Brian S Rich (Shanita), Faith M. Rich, Jeremy N. Rich, Christen R. Wallace (Bobby Wallace), Keith C. Rich, Gabrielle D. Rich, and Jason A. Rich (Alyson). He was a proud grandfather to 21 grandchildren. He was a loving brother to two sisters and three brothers, Diane Stanfield, Sarphanese Manuel, Galloway Rich, Jr., Donald Rich and Izeal Rich. He leaves to cherish his memory many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Bishop Rich will be remembered by family and friends as a loving father, distinguished foreman, supervisor and trainer of Monsanto chemical plant; which later became Solutia. Some will also remember Bishop Rich as a proud patriot of the US Marines. The most important role to him was that of walking in truth as a man of God. Visitation will be held at 10:00am, Monday, December 4, 2017 at the First Baptist Church of Warrington, 105 Gulf Beach Highway, Pensacola, Florida 32507 with service at 11:00am. ![]() Captain Merle “Wayne” Clark, 77, of Pensacola, Florida passed away Thursday, November 23, 2017. Wayne was born and raised in Pensacola, Florida. He shared many stories of his “mischevious” childhood memories, including painting the family dog and trading bottles from the Coca-Cola plant for movie money. Wayne is preceded in death by his mother, Pauline Ethridge. He is survived by his only son, David Wayne Clark, PhD. Wayne was extremely proud of his son. He was a kind and loving father and was always very supportive of David. He is also survived by his soulmate of 21 years, A. Cathy Groene and his great friends, Ernie Merritt, Tom Bobe and Gene Irwin. Wayne began his career with the City of Pensacola Fire Department on November 13, 1967 and retired as Captain on December 30, 1996. He enjoyed breakfast meetings with fellow Fire Department retirees and sharing memories. Wayne loved working on his two favorite cars, his 1962 Chevy Impala and his 1992 Chevy Camaro. He was a fan of NASCAR racing and football and enjoyed watching them on television. Wayne was also a lover of dogs. His dog Sam was his best friend from the time he retired until Sam’s passing in 2015, and then Molly, the chi-weenie joined the family. Wayne was known for his generosity to the homeless and their pets by providing them with dog food. The Memorial Visitation for Wayne will be held on Monday, December 11, 2017 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at Family Funeral and Cremation, 7253 Plantation Road, Pensacola, Florida, 32504. He was born in Sunflower, MS, the second of 3 children, to Francis and Jesse Hurst, Sr. He leaves behind Ruth (Davis), his wife of 56 years; two sons, Keith (Lindelon) and B.T., four grandchildren, J.R., Raelyn, Wyatt and Tyler; a brother, Roe and many nieces and nephews. Jesse was in the U.S. Army before relocating to Pensacola, where he went to work for Lamar Advertising. He went on to own Gulf Coast Sign Company for 25+ years. He was an innovator in the local sign industry. Jesse was also a fixture at Liberty Lanes where he and Ruth enjoyed bowling. In retirement Jesse spent time with his grandchildren and enjoyed hunting and fishing. A celebration of life service will be Tuesday, December 5, 2017, 11 am at Marcus Pointe Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery on Pensacola NAS at 1 pm. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 10 am. ![]() Valerie Sue Thomas (McDonald), 41, of Pensacola, Florida passed away on November 22, 2017 at Sacred Heart Hospital. Valerie was born on August 10, 1976 in Troy, Alabama to Nancy and James McDonald. She was preceded in death by her father, James McDonald and grandmother, Lois King. She loved coloring, writing, cooking, painting, and watching movies and TV shows. She is survived by her husband of 19 years, Michael Paul Thomas; her children, Kaitlyn Thomas, Kiara Thomas, Brittany Thomas, Michael “Patrick” Thomas, all of Pensacola and Austin McDonald of Andalusia, Alabama; her grandchildren, Levi Williams, Kaylee Williams, Jase Thomas, and Isaac Foster; her mother, Nancy Shelton; her sister Cindy Meadows; her brother Mickey Shelton and her nephews, Jamey and Samuel Meadows. Valerie is also survived by her two very good friends, Jessica Jennings and Julie Rivers. ![]() LUELLA MARIE MORGAN (VAUGHN) passed away November 21st, at her residence in Holt, Florida surrounded by her family. She battled her cancer with tremendous strength and courage, right up until the very end. At Luella’s request, there will be no formal services at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date in NY. Luella was born in Ovid, November 22, 1944, daughter of the late Stanley L. and Josephine Hancy Vaughn. She resided in Seneca Falls until 1994 and then retired to Florida. She worked at Willard Psychiatric Center, Willard for over 20 years. Luella enjoyed gardening, sewing, crocheting, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She made a friend where ever she went. She will be remembered as the life of the party, laughing, story telling and her zest for life. She will be truly missed by many. Luella is predeceased by her brothers, Stanley Jr. and Gary Vaughn and her sister, Gladys Nucci. She is survived by her four children, Tina (Charles) Pratt of Etowah, TN; Gary McBride of Baker, FL; Serene (David) Corbin of Holt, FL; and Fallene Smith of Navarre,FL; seven grandchildren, Jason McBride, Jennifer McBride, Stephanie (Niel) Fauls, Paul McBride, Brandon Pratt, Nathaniel Brown and Marissa Smith; four great -grandchildren; Jaron McBride, Emrick Fauls, Elaine and Elise Fauls; four sisters; Clara Ann (Sam) Cuffe, Lois (Kenneth) Robenolt, Joanie Bisbee, Carol Bond; one brother Herbert (Mary) Vaughn; several nieces and nephews. |
