Homegoing Celebration  - James E. Jackson Jr.


​James E. Jackson Jr., beloved husband, father and brother went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, December 11, 2016. James' greatest desire, was to serve our Lord Jesus Christ and care for his family. James accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior on Sept. 30, 2001 at Las Vegas Christian Center, Las Vegas, NV.  James progressively grew in his Christian walk, and was ordained as a Deacon on September 21, 2008, by AJM-Manna, From Heaven Ministries, lnc. Douglasville GA. in 2013. James later moved to Pensacola FL, where he continued to faithfully serve the Lord.

James, born Oct. 22,1952, was the oldest of eight children. At the young age of 16, James' love for family was evident, as he worked on the State Docks in Mobile, Al , assisting his mother with the care of his siblings. In 1971, James graduated from Murphy High School in Mobile, Al. James proudly enlisted in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. James served his country with distinction for 20 years. Throughout James' military career, James received several Meritorious Service Medals and Air Force Commendation Medals for his outstanding technical knowledge, leadership, management and professionalism, as well as his honesty and dedication to his country. In 1991, Master Sergeant Jackson retired from the US Air Force and continued his service to our country another 16 years as the Training Manger for the City of North Las Vegas Detention Center.

James was preceded in death by his Father, James E. Jackson Sr., Mother, Adell M. Roulhac, Sister, Glynis D. Andrews and his son Scott Jackson. 
James is survived by his wife, Mary T. Jackson, Pensacola, FL., and three children Corey Jackson, Queenie Jackson of Pensacola, FL and Khala Jackson of Pensacola, FL.  He was also survived by (6) siblings. Johnny C. Jackson(Sharon) of Las Vegas, NV., Rachael D. Jackson of Huntsville, AL, Adele E. Barney of Atlantic City, NJ, Judy L. Jackson of Huntsville, AL., Alison D. Cobb of East Orange, NJ, and , Lisa F Roulhac of Huntsville, AL. as well as a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
James lived and endured until the end, standing on Hebrews 11:1-2.
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
For by it, the elders obtained a good report. (KJV)
Services will be held December 22, 2016 at Family-Funeral & Cremation 7253 Plantation Road at 12:00 PM, with Interment at Barrancas National Cemetery.
