grant H. Barrett

Grant H. Barrett met his long-loved Savior early the morning of May 7, 2022. He was born
August 6, 1930 to Homer and Irene Barrett. He was the second born of four children. He married the love of his life, Emmajean Wakeman on August 9, 1958.
The greatest and most enduring life-changing event in his life was the day he trusted in Christ as
his Savior and Lord on March 27, 1951. He walked out of the military chapel
and looked at the moon and said, "You belong to me." Every day following that decision he only wanted to
understand and know Christ better through the study of His word and to live to honor his Savior.

​He was preceded in death by his mother Irene, his father Homer Barrett, his wife, Emmajean, his
sister Hazel Irene, and his brother Bert Barrett. Survived by his brother Dean Barrett; children,
Betty Robinson (Robert), Virginia Lynch (Rick), Grace Diamond (Scott) and 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren, with two more on the way.
 
A memorial service will be held at Plainview Baptist Church, 1101 W. 9 mile road, Pensacola, Florida 32534 on May 12, 2022 at 6 pm.
