Herminia Contreras, 71, of Eglin Air Force Base, Florida passed away on February 1, 2019.
Herminia Contreras was born April 25, 1947 in Weslaco, TX. Herminia had a smile so bright she put the sun to shame and a laugh so warm she melted even the most frozen of hearts. Unyielding in her devotedness to her children and grandchildren her love for them shined brighter than all the stars combined. She was always finding new adventures in even the oddest of places. With a love for nature and all creatures large as well as the smallest excluding flies, roaches and mosquitoes (those were not her favorites) birds being her favorite. Forever living on in the hearts of not only her children and grandchildren, but the hearts and souls she touched. She left her mark in this world. Supportive, strong, unwavering, commanding, forgiving, loving and adventurous, these words as simple as they may be will never be able to fully describe Herminia Contreras. Daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, friend. She will be greatly missed, loved and remembered. This world has lost an angel who will watch over us and always smile over us. “I told you I was sick” |
