![]() Ozell Bonner, Sr., 74, of Pensacola, Florida passed away on Tuesday, August 14, 2018. Ozell was born on March 20, 1944 in Forest home, Alabama to the late John Lee and Daisy Sue Bonner. He attended school in Escambia County, Florida. He had several jobs throughout his lifetime. He was employed by Haber Produce, Bailey Produce, Goodwill (as a truck driver) and he also travelled with the Interstate Fair. Ozell was a wonderful man who was loved, is missed and will always be cherished. He was an amazing husband and dad. Ozell loved to tell jokes. His favorite joke was “if you had 20 sick (or six) chickens and one died, how many will you have left? He always knew that no one would get it right because if you answered 19, he’d say he said 26!! Ozell Sr. was preceded in death by his parents, John Lee and Daisy Sue Bonner; son, Ozell Bonner, Jr.; sisters, Zettie Boggan, Josephine Bloxson and Clara Rudolph and brothers, John Jr., Jimmie, Joe, Melvin, O’Neil, Roosevelt, Samual, Clinton and Willie Bonner. He is survived by his wife, Charlester Bonner; his children, Henry Bonner, Janet Bonner (Roosevelt), Jane Bonner, and Dorothy Bonner; his brother, Charles Bonner; sisters, Beatrice Jones and Willie Bell (Rev. Willie) Evans; 20 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. A visitation will be held at 10:00 am with services following at 11:00 am on Friday, August 24, 2018 with Pastor Norman Baker officiating at Springhill Missionary Baptist Church, 1200 West Jackson Street, Pensacola, Florida. Burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens Cemetery, 1084 Massachusetts Avenue, Pensacola. |
