She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Rose; her mother, Margaret Lee; brothers, Joseph Rose, Terry Rose, Ronnie Rose and Clifford Rose and sister, Jeannie Rose Moore. She is survived by her daughters, Susan Martin of Tampa, Florida, Mary (Ray) McDuffie, New Ulm, Tx; sons, Harold Clifford Goodwin, Pensacola, Florida, Eugene (Tonia) David Goodwin, Pensacola, Fl; nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; brother, David (Judy) Rose; sisters, Mary Jane (Larry) Pitts and Pat (Darryl) Brown. Our mother went home to be with the Lord and the rest of her family. I found a prayer she had written in her journal asking the Lord to "see what you can do". In her prayer, she talked to him about missing her family. My mother was strong in her faith and I always admired her for that. She loved everyone and she loved giving gifts and making everyone smile. Since her illness, everything I touch or see reminds me of her. In all her pictures, she always had the biggest smile or funny face. She had a trying life, but because of her faith, she was happy and had no fear and lived life to the fullest. She loved Americas Funniest Home Videos and would laugh so hard, we all cried with her. She would get so upset at the bad guys in movies. It was so funny to watch her. She loved working with her hands making crafts for everyone or helping chop or put up vegetables. She loved poetry, reading and writing. She was so precious and everyone loved her. She loved children and they were drawn to her. In her last days, she managed to make faces at them to make them laugh. She was so determined and such a fighter. I found several pictures of Angels cut out of magazines and filed away. I found this in other clippings she saved: "I'll Be There" When the days wane long and dreary And the nights are longer still Trust I'm watching over you - And I always will. Sonnets of Love are sweet refrain But none can ever compare To simple vows from the heart - I promise I'll be there. I am your guardian angel. Love Mom She will always be in our hearts and her precious memories will be with us forever. I know she's at peace now. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm, Friday, July 7, 2017 at Central Chapel Church, Pensacola, Florida.
