![]() Steven Alan Thomae was born in Columbus, Ohio on August 08, 1947, to parents Edwin Leroy Thomae and Anna (Fuchs) Thomae. He graduated from Ohio University in 1969, at which time he entered the United States Air Force to begin his career as an officer. He worked on many missile projects, the most notable of which was the Titan missile. He earned his Master’s degree in business while working at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California. He retired from the Air Force as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1991. He resided in Florida from his retirement until his death. He died peacefully in Gulf Breeze, Florida, on June 02, 2017. He is survived by his two daughters and their families: Heather Olvey (Lance, Max, Samantha, and Marty) and Holly Heer (Scott, Gabriella, and Sara) of Little Rock; and his sister, Carol Sue Thomae of Columbus, Ohio. A Commital Service will be held on Friday, June 23, 2017. The procession will be leaving from Family-Funeral & Cremation, 7253 Plantation Road, Pensacola, Florida 32504 at 9:30 a.m. A service will be held at Barrancas National Cemetery at 10:30 a.m. |
