![]() Virginia Mae Glencoe, 96, of Pensacola Florida passed away Thursday morning, February 1, 2018 following a short illness. Virginia was born in Ashland, Ohio on September, 9, 1921. She was the daughter of the late Clyde Butler and and Catherine Eloise (Née Miller) McMurray. Virginia was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church. A 1939 graduate of Ashland High School, Virginia resided in Ashland until 1988 when she and husband Peter Glencoe moved to Pensacola, Florida. She was a devoted mother, homemaker, and an avid reader. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, and also her sisters Louise Kemp and Helen McPherson Loyd. Virginia is survived by her loving husband of 74 years Peter Glencoe, who is in his 101 year of life; one daughter and two sons, Jill (Charles) Kerr of Pensacola Florida, Thomas (Leora) Glencoe of Benicia California, and David (Teri) Glencoe of Pensacola Florida. She loved and cherished her nieces and nephews, seven grandchildren (Steven, Matthew, Carrie, Susie, Nathan, Kristin, and Tony), 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Virginia was a quiet, caring, selfless, non-judgemental, unassuming, beautiful soul. She is at last reunited with her loving sisters, and the mother who went to be with our Lord when Virginia was only seven years old. Arrangements for interment are ongoing.
